Stiorra came to our sanctuary as a day old lamb in January unable to walk. After 2 weeks of physical therapy, massage, supplementation and good thoughts and prayers she was able to walk on her own.
Stiorra has Spina Bifida which is a trait known to hair sheep breeds. It can also be caused from neo-natal nutritional deficiencies.
She was recently donated a pet wheel-chair to assist with her mobility. Stiorra is in need of an MRI and surgery completed by a neurologist team to have the best quality of life.

Freya came to the sanctuary as a sickly bottle baby. She was tiny, hunched and lethargic. Although she was tiny, she was mighty and was very strong on the bottle. It took her two full weeks to build the strength that other little lambs had at her age, but she continues to grow stronger each day.
Birthday: Feb 26, 2023
Intake: March 2, 2023
Breed: Katadin/Dorper/Blackbelly
Fun Fact: Freya loves to snuggle with people, and her favorite place to sleep is with her humans nuzzled in their neck.
Tuke, a special Tunis lamb came to the sanctuary in February as a bottle baby lamb. She presents with a vision-impairment, but is otherwise healthy, sweet and snuggly. Tuke's eyes and ears are wider apart and lower than her herd mates which may indicate other congenital disorders that will be further investigated. Although she appears to have some vision, she will often loose her friends outside and frantically call for them.

Fun Fact: Tunis sheep are an endangered breed of fat-tailed sheep.
Phil was found in one of the local landfills as an emaciated kitten. Unfortunately, the local shelters were full and unable to take in more animals. We offered to take little Phil and nurse him back to health.
It was reported another 6 kittens were found at the local landfills and were taken in by the local animal shelters. Many of these kittens were litter trained and affectionate which indicates that they were dumped intentionally. This is unfortunately a common problem when locals do not spay/neuter their pets resulting in unwanted litters.
Phil's recent neuter and vaccinations were sponsored by two wonderful locals. We are very grateful.

Fun Fact: Phil received his name affectionally after the "Land Fill".
Odin came to the farm with his brother Yeti as a livestock guardian dog to help keep the animals here safe.
At his first appointment the week we brought him home it was noted that he had a severe malocclusion and his teeth were piercing into his palate and he would require a visit with a veterinarian dentist. Due to the severity of his condition, he required urgent dental surgery to remove his lower canine and incisor teeth to allow his lower mandible to grow. This surgery was completed when he was 12 weeks old. Unfortunately, this surgery did not have the desired result, and he had to have his adult canine and incisor teeth removed as well.
Due to the low predator load of the sanctuary, Odin is still able to successfully guard the property, however he personally enjoys the role of the care-taker and frequently checks on all the animals. Especially the babies.
Birthday: September 30, 2020
Breed: Great Pyranese/Maremma
Fun Fact: Odin likes to smile, and when he does he looks like Mr. Burns.
Odin is a resident and pet and not available for sponsor.
Due to funding, we are limited with the number of animals we can help each season.
We prioritize:
1) Special Needs Farm Animals
2) Farm Animal Rescues
3) Farm Animal Re-Homes (Waitlist)
We can support with re-homing farm and other animals to appropriate local farms. If you are in need of help please do reach out.
While we can accept some animals for re-home, we will usually require a donation to cover initial medical costs associated with veterinarian checks and cost of feed.
If you would like to help our farm sanctuary to help more animals please consider a monthly donation. 100% of proceeds go directly into the care, vetting and feed for these animals.
Rydda came to the sanctuary as a 12 hour old lamb. She was less than 3lbs and was unable to regulate her body temperature.
After numerous vet visits, daily IM and sub Q injections, she continued to struggle. The vet suggested if she made it to 8 weeks, she would maybe have a fighting chance. But, the "prognosis wasn't good."
A good friend suggested to sleep with her on my chest to let her listen to my heart beat, and said "the will to live is strong." We figured if she was not compatible with being earth side, we would show her a life of nothing but love and kindness.
Rydda survived and showed us just how resilient animals are.
Birthday: Feb 17, 2022
Intake: Feb 17, 2022
Breed: Katadin/Dorper
Fun Fact: Rydda slept on her human for her first 3 months of life.
Ruk was the sanctuary's first bottle bay lamb. He was rejected by his mother and found in rough shape by the farm. They raised him for 10 days and decided to seek a permanent home for him.
They grew fond of Ruk (who they called Ram-bo) and wanted him to go to a home where we would not be used for meat. He was gifted to the sanctuary in February of 2022.
Ruk suffered many health issues while he was being raised. He had contracted either a corona or roto virus and was deathly ill. We had to give multiple injections, cool him regularly and give him electrolytes for several dates to nurse him back to health.
Birthday: Feb 4, 2023
Intake: Feb 14, 2023
Fun Fact: Ruk likes to scream when he sees his favorite people. You can often find him watching you from behind trees, vehicles and buildings. He loves his humans so much.
Nana came to the sanctuary after losing her livelong companion and sister to plant toxicity.
After a few attempts to re-home her at other farms, Nana was not finding her rhythm with other larger Nubians. We decided to introduce Nana to the goat herd to see how she would fit in with a smaller breed of goats.
She bonded instantly to the angora herd, and quickly was adopted as "mom" by Tommy our NDG/Nubian cross who was missing his mom.
Nana was attacked by dogs prior to coming here so walks with a limp. Her utter was also damaged during this attack, so she is not suitable to be bred and is best in a retirement situation. Nana had a goiter when arriving, which we were able to treat with mineral supplementation. Nana also has pretty tough feet and we have worked hard to get her growth under control. Her growth rate is considerably higher than the other goats, which can indicate inflammation in the body. We will be investigating these possibilities further with our vet.
Birthday: 2017
Intake: September, 2022
Fun Fact: Nana's ears are big and look like bananas. She also LOVES to eat Bananas.
Daisy is a gorgeous, affectionate and sweet girl.
She came to the farm with the other Nigora herd as a re-home due to a loss in the family.
She remains one of the friendliest goats at the sanctuary and is always checking pockets for snacks and treats.
Birthday: January 25, 2022
Fun Fact: Daisy was the crowd pleaser at a parkland fundraising event. Her calm disposition and friendly nature made her the best companion for kids to snuggle.
Tommy was gifted to us after my mom fell in love with him on a trip to another farm. He was bouncy and full of energy!
He came with the Nigora herd and was the odd man out and was often picked on as the youngest of the grouping. Once Nana arrived he glued himself to her and adopted her as his Mom. The two can often be caught snuggling in the sunshine and sharing a meal.
Tommy is a mini-Nubian (Nigerian x Nubian).

Meet Mama and her two babies Jett & Bobbi.
This group of goats came from a farm that was needing to downsize their herd due to a loss in the family. The farm wanted the group to go to a good home and not end up in someone's freezer. Bobbi affectionally came with her name as her waddles are not under her chin, but are located/bob on her ears, like earnings. Often times boys aren't named or socialized much as they often go for meat. We named him Jett when he arrived to the farm as his ears resembled airplane wings. He still remains shy, while his sister is extremely affectionate and loves attention.
Birthday Mama: August 15, 2020
Birthday Jett & Bobbi: April 1, 2022
Fun Fact: Mama and Jett are inseparable. You can often hear them calling for one another if they get lost.

Arret
Arret is the class clown, poop disturbing, break in your house and eat your fresh muffins off the table kind of goat. He prefers to be in the company of humans or horses but will tolerate the goat folk once in a while. You will find him napping on the front steps, nibbling on the nape of your neck, or doing kickflips off the deck.
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Birthdate: December 2020
Poe Poe
Poe is the SWEETEST most cuddly goat I've ever met. Which is a far cry from the feral little munchkin we brought home. Who knew 22lbs could pack so much force. After some forced love and tasty treats, we've broke this boy. This wee lad is now a lap goat, park yourself on the lawn and Poe is sure to keep your legs warm.
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat

Ruby
Ruby is one of the sweetest wee little goats. She is a Nigerian Dwarf goat and carries the myotonic gene which makes her a fainter! That was an unplanned surprise, but makes her even sweeter. Ruby is still warming up to scratches but enjoys being a lap goat and will give you the best snuggles.
